We are beyond proud of our crew that traveled to Baltimore on Engine 102 on Wednesday February 2, 2022.

For the first time in history, the entire Baltimore City Fire Department was placed out of service to attend the memorial service for their Brothers & Sister. Bel Alton VFD, along with many other Maryland & DC agencies sent apparatus and crews to the city to provide backfill staffing.

Engine 102 filled the quarters of Engine 44/Medic 19. E102 took in several runs throughout the day, to include a Working Fire in a school. E102 positioned on side Charlie and stretched the 400’ pre-connect with a rack to extend. Crews found several rooms off on Division 2 and worked with other mutual aid companies to extinguish and overhaul.

It was our honor to be able to provide our assistance, and our hearts are with each and every one of the members of the BCFD during this time of heartache.
