| At 1218 hours, Engine Company 10 and neighboring departments were dispatched to 9035 Soldierwood Court for the House fire. Engine 101 responded and arrived just moments later to find a 2 story single family structure with heavy smoke showing. Crews from Bel Alton and La Plata stretched hand lines and forced entry into the home. The fire was contained to the kitchen and living room areas. All searches proved negative, and utilities were controlled by special services on scene. Crews performed overhauled and cleared 3 hours later. The scene was turned over to the Maryland State Fire Marshal's office. |
