Engine 101 and Foam Tanker 10 responded to Southern Star Place for the House Fire. Duty 1 arrived on scene with fire showing and established the Command. Engine 101 arrived and began extinguishment operations. Chief 1B assumed Operations and Tanker 10 assisted in establishing Water Supply operations. Crews were backed out for a short time period to allow Ladder-Pipe operations. After a quick knock down, crews were re-deployed to hit hot spots and overhaul. A 2nd Alarm was sounded due to the weather, bringing Engine 102 to the scene. A109 assisted in the transport of one injured firefighter to a local hospital for heat exhaustion.

A total of 4 firefighters were treated and released due to the hot temperatures and overall severity to this incident.

Thank you to all of those who provided cold drinks and refreshments to the scene, as well as the EMS members for assisting with rehab and care to those affected by the heat.
