Just after 1800 hours, units from Company 10 responded to a possible house struck by lightning in the first due, but found it to be a Good Intent call. Shortly thereafter, Engine 101 was alerted to fill Station 3 due to Northside units operating on a Structure Fire at John Hanson Middle School in Waldorf. Moments later a 2nd Alarm was sounded bringing Engine 101 and Chief 10B to the fire ground. Upon arrival, Engine 101 picked up Engine 11's layout and supplied them for the duration of the incident. The crew from E101 was assigned to the Roof Division, where they operated for several hours protecting exposure buildings and extinguishing fire. Chief 10B operated at the Command Post and assisted with overhaul operations on the interior. Crews on scene worked for several hours extinguishing fire and performing extensive overhaul. Engine 101 and Chief 10B cleared the fire ground just after Midnight. Station 10 maintained an additional crew during the entire incident.
