| On April 11th, just after 1830 hours, Rescue Squad 10 and Ambulance 109 were alerted for a MVC on Crain Highway @ Sadie Lane. After units marked on the air on the Tach channel, Communications advised a vehicle was on fire and by standers were attempting to extricate the patient. Chief 10 requested ALS due to the supplemental information he was given. Chief 10 arrived on the scene with a single vehicle accident and reported the vehicle to be on fire. Chief 10 requested the Tanker be added to the call. Rescue Squad 10 arrived and checked the passenger compartment to find the patient had been removed. The Rescue Squad crew advanced the bumper line and began to extinguish the auto fire. Ambulance 109 arrived and began patient care and requested a Medevac Helicopter for the injured patient. Tanker 10 arrived and assisted with the auto fire. Engine101 marked up to handle the Landing Zone, which was set up for Trooper 7 at the Charles County Fair Grounds. The patient was loaded in the Paramedic Ambulance and taken to the LZ. |
