It is with deep regret that the members of the Bel Alton Volunteer Fire Department announce the passing of Past Chief and Life Member Joseph Aubrey Gragan, Jr. on Saturday February 13th 2010. Joe began his fire service career in 1977, joining the BAVFD at the age of 16. Throughout his membership, Joe held many positions to include Chief 10 in 1991, 1992 and 1993. Joe also obtained numerous awards, most notably Firefighter of The Year in 1988. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Gragan Family.
Funeral Arrangements are as follows:
Viewing: Tuesday February 16th 2:00 to 4:00pm and 6:00 to 8:00pm with prayers at 7:00pm at the Arehart Echols Funeral Home.
Funeral: Wednesday February 17th 11:00am mass at the St. Ignatius Church in Chapel Point.
The Repast will be held after the services at the Bel Alton Volunteer Fire Department.
