The Bel Alton Volunteer Fire Department and Ems regrets to announce the passing of Charter member Augustus W. Bowling Jr. ( Gus ) on October 25, 2017 . Gus was a dedicated member of our department for over 15 years , serving from 1962 to 1977. Gus held numerous positions within the department, holding the highest of Asst. Chief . Gus was the father of past members Gus Bowling III , Joe Bowling and Alan Bowling.
