By Assistant Chief Christopher Strybing
June 12, 2014

At 2242 hours, Rescue Squad 10 was alerted to Budds Creek Road in the area of Allens Fresh for the overdue boat. Units responding were notified that several boaters were either lost or stranded in "Newport Run" and to relocate to that location at the bridge. Squad 10 arrived and set up their light tower on the creek to try and gain a visual. With several Raft units and ATV's enroute, command advised Squad 10 that their inflatable boat would not be needed and to remain on scene for lighting and manpower. After searching a grid area in the waterway, the boaters were located and Squad 10 was released back to service. Chief 14B had the command.

Units: Rescue Squad 10
