By Firefighter Christopher Strybing
May 22, 2013

Just after 2200 hours, Company 10 was alerted for the Pedestrian Struck in the 9100 block of Crain Highway. Units quickly responded and arrived to find 1 patient with lower extremity injuries. Command requested a Helicopter for a Medevac, and Engine 102 cleared to cover the LZ at Station 10. As EMS units were packaging the patient for transport to the LZ, Syscom advised E102 that all Helicopters were down due to weather. EMS Duty Officer 16A consulted with the EMS units on scene, and the decision was made to make a ground transport. Company 10 units returned to service shortly thereafter. Company 14 filled our quarters during this incident.

Units: Squad 10, Engine 102, Ambulance 109, Chief 10A
